 The Association
The Association, the show choir at Van Buren High
School, performs for the greater Findlay and Hancock
County areas whenever possible. Selected from a
student body of over 300 students, the group regularly
competes throughout the year and dazzles audiences with
shows that break the traditional mold. The group has
won many awards, including eight top-five overall finishes
and as high as Runner-Up Overall, in the past several
years.

The show choir originated in the
1980's as a swing choir before taking on the name
The Association by founding director James P. Scothorn.
In its over 20 year history,
The Association has had only three directors -
James P. Scothorn, David Inbody, and James Vaughn. |
