Objective: Students will review the lesson one vocabulary exercises, create their blogs in Blogger, and learn how to neatly add links to articles.
Standard: L.9.3, L.9.6, RI.9.1, and as identified on blog rubric.
1. Students will review the lesson one vocabulary exercises and do two practice antonym questions on Poll Everywhere.
2. Students will have the opportunity to share anything interesting they learned from reading feeds on Feedly.
3. Students should go to Google, make sure they are logged into their school Google account, click the apps button, and scroll down to find Blogger (you might want to create a tile on Symbaloo for this, too). We will then work together through the process of setting up their blogs.
NOTE: When naming your blog, be sure it begins with 21lastname.4. Students will be walked through the process of creating a new post, adding a link to a post (an item on the rubric), and adding a picture/graphic to a post (another item on the rubric).5. Students will complete an exit ticket before leaving today and should return their learning target folders to their designated spot.HOMEWORK: Prepare for tomorrow's lesson one vocabulary assessment. Begin planning your first blog post.
I strongly encourage you to use Feedly in study hall if you are done with all of your work for your classes. That is a great time to see what other people are doing (either your classmates or those outside the school) and get ideas for your own work.
