Objective: Students will review the lesson one vocabulary assessment, discuss the reassessment form, review the lesson two words, review their previous MAP results.
Standard: L.3, 5, 6
1. Students should go to their e-mail accounts and open the results of the lesson one assessment so we can discuss them. We will also look at the reassessment form on Classroom.
2. Students should create the necessary learning target sheets for standards L.3, 5, & 6 and add their results to the SUMMATIVE column.
3. We will go over the lesson two words.
4. Students will review their MAP scores, discuss the importance of getting reliable data from the assessment, etc.
HOMEWORK: You will be taking the MAP reading assessment on block day this week. If you do not finish during the period, that's okay. You can finish during academic assist, a study hall, etc. Complete your first argumentative blog post by the start of your period this Friday, September 14. Complete lesson two exercises II & IV for Tuesday, September 18, and prepare for the lesson two assessment on block day (Sept. 19 or 20). Remember that vocabulary assessments are CUMULATIVE, meaning that lesson one words, roots, prefixes, and suffixes could appear on the lesson two assessment.
