Z is for John Peter Zenger

By: Kaitlyn and Evan

John Peter Zenger started and printed the New York Weekly in 1773.

When he was printing, he was criticizing the royal governor, William Cosby.

His trail gained the freedom of speech in the American colonies.

John Zenger was a horrible singer.

All he could do was work on printers.

He accidentally cut his finger so, he wrote about the royal government.

Since he was criticizing the royal governor, we had the Freedom of speech!
