Zebra Mussel Book Page 1
What is the Zebra Mussel?
Use the resources given on the beginning page to find facts about zebra mussels. Try to find out what it is, what color it is, size, shape, habitat, food, etc. Take notes in your notebook. Then make your page on your own lined paper. This page must include:
-
A title, with capital letters on important words. It can be printed, it should be colored.
-
A colored, labeled picture of the zebra mussel. If you know how to download and print a picture at home, you can bring that in to use. OR you may use colored pencils and draw a picture instead. Be sure you label the picture.
-
In paragraph form, in cursive, write your facts about the zebra mussel. Try to keep similar ideas in one paragraph, such as putting size and shape in one, habitat and food in another, etc.
-
Your last paragraph on this page should describe why the zebra mussel has become a problem in the Great Lakes. If you have time, draw and color a small illustration of the problem. Check your resources for help!
