CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY - The Law Enforcement Exploring group will be holding its next meeting on Monday, October 3, from 6:00-7:30 P.M. at the sheriff's training building on Lima Avenue. This is a great way for students considering a career in law enforcement (police department, sheriff's department, security, military, FBI, U.S. Marshals, etc.) to get hands-on experience and start networking with professionals already in the field. This Exploring group meets once a month to prepare to give students hands-on experience at the Halloween parade, Hancock County Fair, Balloon Fest, and other local events. The group is also planning to participate in a law enforcement competition next summer, and they will be preparing for it throughout this school year. If students or parents have any questions related to this Exploring group, please reach out to our school resource officer and the leader of the Exploring group, Deputy Crouch, at mcrouch@vbschools.net.
