Van Buren is on a 2 hour delay for Wednesday 1/17. Due to a nationwide and local carrier issue, district text alerts are currently delayed in being delivered to families and community. Thank you for supporting our school garden by purchasing hot chocolate. We raised a little over $550! The 5th grade will be using the funds to purchase mulch for their Spring garden project. #BeABlackKnight

Congratulations to this dynamic team for winning Van Buren’s school showcase for the OSLN Design Challenge Competition. They designed an artificial gravity breakroom for astronauts on Starlab. Their ambitious and out of the box idea was an amazing design that could someday aid in mental health for astronauts during their long adventures in space. Their project will be submitted to the District hub and may have a chance to compete at the State level! #stemorbitsohio

This week was all about giving! We concluded our Toys for Tots collection organized by Deputy Crouch. Over in the elementary, Mrs. Swaney's class has been gathering donations for Chopin Hall while Mrs. Lafountain's class has been gathering donations for the Humane Society. In the high school, our Chick-fil-A Leader Academy gathered over 80 items for City Mission. Way to go, Black Knights! #BeABlackKnight
