Wear PJs this Friday for $1 or more donation to CHOPIN Hall! PJs must meet our dress code (length, etc.) and your donation will be collected first thing Friday morning. For 37 years, CHOPIN Hall has been on the front lines of getting food into the hands of people in-need in our community - let's lend them a hand!

8th Graders ONLY - HS Football meeting Sunday, May 23rd at 5:00 PM at the Stadium. Rain location will be HS Gym. If you are planning on playing football next season YOU NEED TO ATTEND!

Come check out what Middle School Cheer is all about!
When: May 19th and 20th 5-7:30 a cheer clinic will be held in the High School gym
Who: Any incoming 7th and 8th graders who are interested in supporting the Middle School football and basketball teams
What: Varsity Coach Lydia Brown has supplied videos of the cheers we will be learning (Please feel free to look up Camrie Roberts on YouTube and go to videos) These cheers will be taught on Wednesday and Thursday At 7pm of Thursday, May 20th, a "performance" will be done for parents of what was learned. Following that performance, there will be a short meeting about how Middle Cheer works and the costs of the program. Those who decide to participate in the program, please let me know, no later than May 25th. I will give out my contact information at the meeting on Thursday. Thank you! Go VBMS!!! Coach Snyder

DODGE, DUCK, DIP, DIVE...….and DODGE!
It's Dodgeball Time! We are excited to let you know we are brining Dodgeball back for FRIDAY, MAY 28. We would love to have a great turnout. This is for a wonderful cause, as all money goes to the Jennifer Masters Scholarship.
Please consider putting a team together, but act quick! The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, May 18. The form is available here, and has all of the information needed. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Heitkamp. He will have forms available as well.

A reminder on the VBMS cell phone policy: "Students may possess a cell phone or any other non-school issued communicative devices during the school day. The device should remain out of sight and as part of educating students on appropriate use, should be turned to silent or powered-off unless given teacher permission to use for an instructional purpose during the school day."
In summary: Without staff permission, your phone is off and out of sight. This includes hallways and lunch.

The 16th annual VBMS talent show will take place Wednesday, June 2 at 12:00pm in the auditorium. Unfortunately, no guests are allowed to attend, but we plan to either have a video or livestream option. If you are interested in performing, please complete a form (across from Mrs. Keeran's office) and return to Mr. Clark by 5/26/21. This show is only as good as the performers!!!

LUNCH TODAY:
Bratwurst, Baked Beans, Corn, Asst. Fruit, Milk
- All students are eligible to receive free school lunches (a regular lunch) as a result of the federal school lunch program waiver made possible through the CARES act. Additionally, any students purchasing a regular school lunch since the start of the school year will have that lunch cost refunded to their lunch account in the coming weeks.
