Student Summer Work Opportunity - Become an Umpire!
Students, have you ever sat at a sporting event and thought you could officiate the game better than those who were officiating? This is your opportunity to prove you can!
Findlay Youth Baseball is hosting an umpire clinic this Sunday, May 1, from 12:00-5:00 P.M. at The Miracle Field behind The Cube in Findlay. The clinic is free to anyone wanting to umpire in Findlay Youth Baseball and only $10 for anyone wanting to umpire in county leagues only.
If interested in attending and starting your baseball umpiring career, contact Brandon Polutnik at BLPolutnik@gmail.com for more information.
After being trained, you will be able to umpire Minor League (3rd and 4th grade - $40/game), Junior Pony (5th and 6th - $50/game), and Pony League (7th and 8th - $50/game) games. They were short on umpires last year, so students can probably stay pretty busy throughout the summer season and make some pretty good money.
If students need any help getting started, please set up an appointment with Mr. Bratt at bit.ly/VBcareeradvising.

Congrats to these boys on the U10 VB Soccer Team who got referrals for showing their sportsmanship!

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library Bookmobile will be at Van Buren on Monday, April 25, from 11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Middle and high school students can visit the bookmobile during their lunch periods, so if students have a FHCPL card, please be sure they have their cards so they can check out books. Students can also place holds on books using the FHCPL website (www.findlaylibrary.org) and pick those up on the bookmobile as long as they identify the bookmobile as the pick-up location (they still need to have their library cards with them). Students who don't have library cards can visit the library in Findlay (206 Broadway St.) to register for a card. Parents must be present with their children and have two forms of identification (one must be a photo ID). The bookmobile will also be making stops at the school from 11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. on May 9 & 23.

Congrats to Robert, Blaire, Brittyn, & Addyson for their Positive Behavior Referrals!
